The Overlander expansion kit comes with everything you need to increase the power output of your Go Power solar charging system. The 200-watt solar panel uses MC4 connections and provides DC power to charge your RV's batteries.

If you want to expand your solar setup to collect more sunlight and charge your batteries faster, this solar panel expansion will add more amperage to your charging output. This kit includes a single 200-watt solar panel with mounting hardware that connects to your existing Go Power system using the included MC4 branch connectors.

High-Efficiency, Monocrystalline Solar Panel

solar cells

The silicon cells are set between a cushioned backing material and tempered solar glass to withstand the elements. The glass has low-iron content to provide exceptional transparency, which ensures maximum sunlight collection. The panel is framed with anodized marine-grade aluminum to resist rust and corrosion. And in optimal sunlight conditions, the panel produces 200 watts per hour.

Easy Connection to Go Power Solar Charging Systems

mc4 connectors

This kit is compatible with several Go Power Solar Charging Systems (sold separately). However, the total amount of amps generated by the panels cannot exceed your solar controller's maximum amperage. The solar panel installs anywhere on your RV roof with included mounting feet and hardware. To maximize sunlight collection, it is important to install the panel where it avoids shadows cast by objects, like an air conditioner or vent. The panel is wired in parallel to another panel using MC4 branch connectors.

Fast delivery product as advertised. I had to fabricate my own mounts. The mounts provided would not fit the 8020 channels On my Ram Promaster.

Panel works great no problems at all

When I received the solar panel one end of the box had been opened and resealed with tape. I have opened the box and it all looks fine with the panel and one plastic bag with parts and manual. It will be several weeks before I can install it so will let you know then

Four of your team members worked together to expedite the return of my damaged solar panel and a re-ship of a replacement one. I commend them for their efforts!!!
The replacement panel again had minor damage to one of the panel edges, but I do not consider it sufficient to return the panel. I have purchased a complete solar panel kit(panel & controller) and two panel extension kits (panel only) from you. The complete kit has the panel enclosed in a separate box inside the shipping container which minimizes shipment damage. The panel extension kits, however, are place inside the shipping box with only four styrofoam corner pieces to secure it inside the container. The damage, in my opinion, is occurring during shipment when the sides of the shipping container are compromised by some object making contact with the solar panel frame. If the extension kits would be packaged as the complete solar kit panels are then there should rarely be damaged in shipment. Just my thoughts in this matter.

I didn't install or tested the product yet. And, for some reason, I thought that it comes with 30 amp charge controller; but it's here in good shape and form.
Thanks

The panel wasto install extending my 200W system on my RV to400W.

by:

We bought a 2024 Flagstaff E-Pro camper with one 200W solar panel and one 12V battery and soon discovered that this was only enough to operate the 12V refrigerator (the biggest draw) for about 24 hours. We bought a second battery, double battery box and cables from Camping World. That store gets all their solar equipment from etrailer so we just bought what we needed directly. The cables on the panel are only 3.3 feet long so we had to get the 3 foot extension cables which were perfect for the job. The existing 30A controller is able to handle the additional output from the second panel; however, if we were to add a third panel we'd have to purchase a higher rated controller. This camper is already wired for direct plug-in of a "suitcase solar" array (with an internal controller, that feeds directly to the batteries rather than going through the RV's controller) so if we want more solar that's probably what we'll do. The second panel and cabling was very easy to install, literally plug and play, and we now get significantly longer run time on the fridge (and lights and water pump) when unplugged from the grid.

Wow I am so glad the install went well for you and you're able to enjoy some of your appliances for longer. A little more comfort goes a long way on a trip! Looks like even the littles know a good set up when they see one, too :) Did she manage the installation process for you?

Great products.

by:

Support from etrailer is always top notch. Install was straight fwd and all works well after one year.

by:

Overall I like working with etrailer and there customer service. I ordered 2x additional panels to add to my current set up and visually one box was opened and taped closed before arrival. Not sure if the item was a return and then reshipped or it has to do with the UPS delivery which I highly doubt since there are about 10 industrial staples closing the other side of the box and fully closed on box #2. Lets hope all the items are intact and the panel works as it should. Problem exists is the panel won't be installed for like 30 days and it will sit in the box before I know it all works.

Hi Matt, the package your order arrived in should not have been taped. Please let me know if you are missing anything when you are able to open your order, and I would be happy to help you resolve this.

by:

very user friendly to install.

by:

The panels work very well. Thank You!

by:

My RV came with one of these panels pre-installed. I wanted to double the solar, so I purchased this expansion kit. Kit arrived in a couple of days and was packed well! It was easier than I expected. It took less than a minute to connect all the wires (snap in and positive and negative are different connector types so you can't screw it up). 8 screws later and it was done. Highly recommend.

  • Will 60 Amp Progressive Dynamics 9300 Converter Charger Replace PD9260
Hi Jeff, Nice choice with the 100 amp hour Go Power Lithium RV Battery # GP99QR as well as the Expansion Kit # 34282182. Also, you can absolutely replace your PD9260 with the PD9360 model that is compatible with lithium batteries, and our part number for that is the following: - Progressive Dynamics 9300 Series RV Converter Charger - 12V - 60A # PD79RR This is both a reasonable and quality upgrade to work with the lithium batteries. • Go Power Solar Charging System for Pre-Wired Trailer with Curved Roof
Since you already confirmed with Go Power that their Overlander Solar Charging System # 34282181 is confirmed to work with the pre-wiring on your travel trailer I would not suggest something else instead. This complete system includes the 200-watt panel, controller and wiring and installation will be a lot easier than with another product that may not work with your factory pre-wiring. Another excellent long-term benefit of this system is that is is expandable simply through addition of...

The panels are 10 amp so moving to a fourth will also require adding/changing your solar controller since it will take you over...

  • Solar Panel Kit Needed For A 2019 Thor Windsport Motorhome That's Prewired For Solar
Hey Rick, Properly sizing your solar panel system is going to require figuring out your power consumption. A 200 watt panel is going to get you 10 amps an hour in peak conditions so if you have a higher power consumption you would need more panels to replenish the batteries. Are you trying to boondock or just looking for something the charge your batteries, even when in storage?

  • Adding to Existing Go Power Roof Mounted Solar Panel on Geo Pro.
Adding solar panels and building a battery bank for off-grid camping camping is great, we can definitely help with most of the items needed for this. If your Geo Pro already has a fixed 190W panel mounted to the roof running through a 30 amp charge controller then you are off to a good start. It sounds as if you are prepped for ground deployed solar in addition but the wiring used is rated for 20 amp max, I would not exceed the rating. You need to verify that the ground solar prep does...

  • Can The Go Power Overlander Solar Panels Be Glued To The Roof?
Hello Rege, thanks for reaching out. Adding solar panels is a great way to keep your batteries charged when the RV is not in use. The Go Power Overlander panels can be flush mounted, but you do need to use the included hardware which does involve drilling holes in the roof. Silicone glue by itself is not enough to properly secure the panels so I really can't recommend doing it that way. I know drilling into the roof can be a bit scary but as long as it is done carefully, and the holes are...

Hi Matt; it is possible you will need additional cables. However, I can't be 100% sure without knowing the location this additional panel will be installed and what your current setup looks like. The Go Power Overlander Expansion Kit # 34282182 includes the MC4 expansion branch connectors so if they're close enough together you may be able to reach the entry plate and make the connection. Hello Jonathan, Thanks so much for reaching out. Since you already have a 160 watt roof panel and Odyssey TPPL batteries, adding another panel and updating your charging equipment is a great idea. For the solar side, I recommend the Go Power Overlander Expansion Kit with the 200 watt panel, # 34282182. This lets you keep your existing 160 watt panel and simply add the new one to the roof. • Can I Add 2 More 200 Watt Solar Panels to My Go Power MPPT Solar Charge Controller?
Hello Steve, Good news! Your Go Power! 30-amp MPPT controller # GP72RR can handle up to 600 watts on a 12-volt system, so adding two more 200-watt panels like # 34282182 to your existing one is perfect. That puts you right at the controller’s safe limit. Just make sure the combined voltage of your panels doesn’t exceed 100 volts, especially if you wire them in series. Wiring them in parallel is usually the safer choice for RV setups since it keeps the voltage the same. This controller...
